陈凤林教授指出由于经期性生活、人流或分娩时，夫源组织通过开放的子宫内膜静脉进入母体，母体产生了特异性抗胚胎抗体，再次妊娠时，抗胚胎抗体与胎盘表层的Fibronectin 网发生体液免疫反应，Fibronectin遭到破坏后，胎儿绒毛组织暴露于母血中，细胞免疫发生，胚胎停育，继而发生自然流产。而且停育时间基本在同一孕周内。
